The Fellowship Center
The Fellowship Center, operated with cooperation of a group of local churches, is a community-based outreach dedicated to assisting local families in need. It is mostly staffed by volunteers. FUMC has volunteers working there on Wednesday mornings. If you would like to contribute your time helping the local community at the Fellowship Center, contact the church office or email Shawn Hayes.
The Center takes clothing donations in good condition and sells them at very low prices to help those who can not always buy new. Men's clothing is usually in short supply. They take toys, books, cash donations and non-perishable food items. They do not take furniture. The cash donations are used to help with utility payments for those in need if they can show proof of a permanent address and the delinquent bill.
The Fellowship Center is a non-profit organization. The money generated from the sale of donated items goes back into the community to help those in need. It is one of our ongoing missions. We are always in need of volunteers to help out in front, working the register and bagging purchases. Our day to volunteer is Wednesdays from 9am-12pm. You can work as many or as few Wednesdays as you would like. Please sign up to volunteer on the calendar in the narthex. We have lots of fun while giving back to our community.
