Come join us every Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 for an hour of moderate exercise along with a relaxing cool down session! Exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous to improve your overall health. Did you know that by exercising for 150 minutes a week you can lower your risk of premature death, the development of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes? Other benefits of regular exercise are lower risk of stroke, colon and breast cancer, weight gain, reduced depression, prevention of falls, and better cognitive function along with many other health improvements.
Our class consists of a variety of cardio, strength training, stretching and balance exercises. We do some yoga, Pilates, tai chi, simple dance moves, strengthening and tightening our muscles and resistant bands. The class varies from week to week so that those who aren’t able to exercise on a regular basis can get a whole body workout in that hour.
So, come out and give it a try. Just think, after your 60 minutes of exercise class, you’ll only have 90 minutes left for the week. That’s three, 30 minutes of walking for the other days. Remember, your body is the only one you’ll ever have, why not make it as healthy as you can! See you at exercise!
