Get Fit!

We've all been sidelined by the Covid virus. Just 30 minutes a day of some type of exercise is a good way to boost your metabolism and get your endorphins pumping. You can also come to our exercise class on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 pm. You'll be led by a certified fitness instructor who will help you to work on balance, strength, toning, cardio, and stretching. Every week the class is different so we can work on different areas of the body. It's a lot of fun, very casual, and all exercises can be modified for any fitness level. It doesn't matter how far you can bend, how low you can squat, or how well you can balance. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses. That's why I tell everyone in class to do what they can, but to keep moving. The more you move, the more your body will respond and become more flexible. The class is free and open to the community. All are welcome. We only ask that everyone bring a food item or monetary donation for the food pantry.

On the second Tuesday of the month from 9:00-9:45 am, I

will be teaching a PYT (Pilates, yoga, tai chi) class. This class is mostly breathing, stretching, balancing, and toning. The class may focus on just one of those modalities, or a combination of these exercises. I purposefully scheduled it to start an hour before the UMW meeting. This way, you can exercise and still make it to the meeting on time.
I hope you will try one or both of these classes so that you can keep your body healthy.
