Prayer works, because the rain held out for us Saturday morning, March 19th, and we got the garden planted. With good input from the Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry, we have tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumber, peppers and green beans planted. Thanks to the volunteers that braved the weather to make it out. The fresh produce that we’ve been able to grow from our church garden has been greatly appreciated from those in the community that rely on help from our food pantry. It has also been wonderful to see Sunday school classes coming out to the garden to use it for a lesson.
Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.
